Poor Kate Garraway was seen looking exhausted today as she stepped out amid husband Derek Draper’s health battle.
Kate, 53, revealed at the weekend that Derek has emerged from his coma after his coronavirus battle, but remains in intensive care.
The ITV star is set to appear on Good Morning Britain with co-stars Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid tomorrow morning to give an update on Derek’s condition.
Kate has been warned by doctors Derek is still in a ‘critical’ condition and it could take him years to recover.

She said: “I have been living at the end of the phone 24/7, waiting for news of Derek.
“But the doctors have warned that his condition could persist for years so I have to get on with life while we are waiting for him to get better.
Talking about son Billy, 10, she added: “Billy starts secondary school in September but Derek’s doctors say he won’t be out of hospital by then.

“My priority is to make the children feel safe, to not let them see me feeling vulnerable in a world where Derek was my rock.”
Kate and Derek are also parents to daughter Darcey, 14.
Continuing to talk about how Derek is currently doing, Kate said: “I really believe he can hear.

“When medical staff say, ‘Good morning, Derek,’ he sometimes opens his eyes. We and the doctors are doing everything we can so that he can start to recover.
“We’re keeping positive and doing everything we can to bring him round. The children and I communicate with him every day on FaceTime while a nurse holds his iPad.”
