This Morning viewers branded an interview with Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone as a “car crash” on today’s show, as they watched from home.
The 89-year-old businessman recently became a father to a newborn baby, with his wife Fabiana Flosi, 44, giving birth to little Ace at the beginning of the month.
Discussing the parenting duties, hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield quizzed the F1 star about changing nappies as a dad.
Holly said: “Bernie do you do the nappies and the nighttime feed?”
When he declined, she added: “Hands-on – except for that bit.”

Phil asked: “No nappies then Bernie?”
However, Bernie struck a nerve when he suggested parenting was the responsibility of a wife, rather than a father.
He said: “I’ll do whatever is necessary when it’s necessary. But no, that’s what wives are for.”
Phil picked up on the awkward comment, as he remarked: “There you go, that’s going to be controversial Bernie.

Bernie replied: “Most things I say, seem to be. It’s how people take them.”
Later, Phil asked Bernie about the lack of diversity in Formula One, in light of the Black Lives Matter Movement.
At one point, in an effort to suggest there wasn’t an issue with representation in F1, Bernie said: “I’ve never met a black person that I don’t like.”
Meanwhile, over on Twitter, viewers were left fuming over his comment about women and diversity in Formula One, as they branded the stilted interview as “cringe”.
One joked: “Ironically, a car crash interview. #ThisMorning.”

“Think Bernie Ecclestone should just end the interview now before he puts his foot in it any more than what he’s already done,” added a second.
While a third chimed: “Bernie Ecclestone ‘that’s what wives are for’ #thismorning why are you putting Dinosaurs with attitudes from the Stone Age on our screens?
And a fourth added: “Omg this is painful and Bernie being sexist.”
This Morning airs on weekdays at 10am on ITV.
