One Direction star Louis Tomlinson has split from Simon Cowell’s record label Syco.
Louis had only released one solo album with the company.
Confirming the news on Twitter, Louis said: “Hope everyone is doing ok! Just wanted to let you know that Syco Music and I have agreed to part ways.
“I’m really excited for the future and to be back in the studio writing the next album.
“Can’t wait to finally see you all on tour!!Stay safe and see you soon, Louis.”
A music insider spilled: “Louis and his team felt they had come to the end of their working relationship with Syco and Simon didn’t stand in the way of Louis leaving.

“They mutually agreed he could leave and the technicalities were sorted this week.
The insider added to The Sun: “He had been with another Sony label in the US, Arista, and the door is still open for him to discuss the possibility of staying with them.”
A rep for Syco has been contacted by Daily Star Online for comment.
Louis’ decision to quit Syco means none of the One Direction members are still with the label who made them stars.

Louis had been the only member of the group to re-sign to Syco as a solo artist.
In 2018 Louis returned to The X Factor as a judge alongside Simon, Robbie Williams and Ayda Field.
Louis’ decision comes amid mounting rumours One Direction will reform in some capacity to celebrate the band’s tenth anniversary.
Speaking to Daily Star Online about the lads reuniting Liam Payne said: “We haven’t really spoken about a reunion properly.

“Me and Louis have spoken about it a bit like ‘do you think it will happen?’ but we haven’t had conversation between us all which I’m sure will come along at some point but it is hard.
“You don’t want to deter any of the fans and say ‘no we are not getting back together’ but you also don’t want to add hope.
“It is a really difficult situation to be in, I kind of just want to say ‘yeh i’m not really sure right now, but don’t get too excited’”.
