Holby City spoilers: Fletch suffers heartache as he receives devastating news

Holby City spoilers have revealed that Adrian “Fletch” Fletcher is set to suffer more heartache amid the character’s cancer battle.

The Director of Nursing, played by Alex Walkinshaw, has recently been confident that he was on the road to recovery after he was diagnosed with prostate cancer.

This week’s episode is set to be an emotional one as Fletch will receive more devastating news, Digital Spy reports.

He’s recently been confident that he’s on the road to recovery, but in heartbreaking scenes, he will receive some concerning news from his consultant and fears his cancer is back.

Fletch will have to wait a painful week for the results, but what will they be?

Viewers will also see a slight change with in-house style during this week’s episode.

Spoilers have said that the filming style will be different as the show will play around with time to give Nicky, Fletch and Guy’s big stories emphasis.

The beginning of the episode will show three mind-blowing scenes between the trio of characters, before going back in time yo four weeks prior to those moments.

Holby recently revealed that Joe McFadden is making his return to the BBC soap as Raf Di Lucca, despite the character being killed back in 2017.

The 44-year-old actor is set to make his comeback in a future one-off episode.

It will certainly come as a surprise to viewers as Raf was shot in a dramatic episode years ago, leaving his grief-stricken wife Essie Harrison (Kaye Wragg) behind.

The programme has not confirmed how Raf will come back, but bosses have revealed he will appear while his widow Essie continues to struggle with her devastating cancer diagnosis.

Joe McFadden said: “I’ll always look back on my four years on Holby with such fondness as it was one of the happiest jobs I’ve done and it was a real pleasure to get to wear Raf’s scrubs one last time in order to offer his wife Essie some guidance in such a touching episode.”

Holby City continues tomorrow at 8pm on BBC1
