Coronation Street's Yasmeen in horror collapse after run-in with Geoff's ex-wife

Coronation Street fans ought to prepare themselves for heartbreaking scenes next week, as Yasmeen Nazir collapses after a shock confrontation.

The chef has been behind bars for weeks, awaiting trial for attempted murder after she attacked her ex-husband – Corrie villain Geoff Metcalfe – in self-defence.

Now, Coronation Street spoilers have revealed Yasmeen (Shelley King) will suffer pains in her chest after she receives a visit from an unexpected guest in next week’s trip to Weatherfield.

Geoff’s ex-wife, who potentially experienced a similar pattern of abuse at the hands of her husband, will arrive in the prison to meet with Yasmeen.

Teasers on the official Corrie website show Yasmeen clutching her chest as she collapses in the institution while attempting to communicate with Imran Habeeb (Charlie de Melo).

Battling her chest pains, Yasmeen tries to tell her lawyer about the visit from the mystery guest.

Next week, a fellow prisoner will gift Yasmeen a book about coercive control, trying to help her understand the abuse she has suffered in her marriage.

Reading through the book, Yasmeen is forced to confront the reality of the past, wondering whether Geoff (Ian Bartholomew) had been manipulating her all along.

In another twist, a mystery visitor – pretending to be a charity worker – will arrive a the prison hoping to speak with Yasmeen.

Once a meeting is arranged, the woman reveals her true identity, as she explains she is Geoff’s ex-wife, played by Paula Wilcox.

As the two discuss their shared experiences with Geoff, Yasmeen starts to realise the true extent of his evil ways.

However, the realisation proves too much, and Yasmeen suffers a collapse behind bars, much to her family’s horror.
