Fans of Naya Rivera are planning to remember the late Glee star next month with a touching candlelight vigil memorial at Lake Piru, California where her body was found on Monday after she drowned aged 33.
A fan page on Twitter, titled The Naya Rivera Army, posted an event for Saturday, August 1.
The post read: “It’s a little far away mostly to give people that are traveling, time to take off work and be able to be a part of this.
“Time is at 5 since it gets hot but doesn’t mean you can’t be there before. I hope many of you can make it! Share it to those you think might want to go!”

The vigil is to take place less than a month after the actress tragically passed away while out on a boat ride with son, Josey, four.
On Wednesday 8 July, Rivera rented a pontoon boat with her son, but hours later, an alarm was raised when a person, who was also on the water, saw her son sleeping on the vessel with his mum nowhere to be seen.

Rivera’s body was discovered under a week later on July 13, as authorities with Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office said Rivera had died due to accidental drowning.
Son Josey told police she pushed him back into the boat before disappearing beneath the surface.
Ventura County Sheriff Bill Ayub believed the lake’s currents could have caused difficulties.

“The idea perhaps being that the boat started drifting – it was unanchored – and that she mustered enough energy to get her son back onto the boat, but not enough to save herself,” he said.
Following Rivera’s passing, her family released a statement which read: “We are so grateful for the outpouring of love and prayers for Naya, Josey and our family over the past week.
“While we grieve the loss of our beautiful legend, we are blessed to honor her everlasting legacy and magnetic spirit.
“Naya was an amazing talent, but was an even greater person, mother, daughter and sister.”
