Katie Price has spoken out about her devastation of having to leave son Harvey Price alone in hospital due to Covid-19 restrictions.
The 42-year-old TV star and model took to her YouTube channel to discuss Harvey’s current condition while hitting out at those who had slammed her for heading to the hairdressers last week.
Harvey was rushed to hospital earlier this month with a temperature reaching 42 degrees and breathing problems.
The teen is said to currently be “stable” with Katie saying his condition had improved at the weekend.
Explaining the situation, she revealed that her hands had been tied in terms of visiting her 18-year-old son, due to coronavirus measures impacting visiting in hospitals still.
She spoke about her heart ache of wanting to be there for her son who is partially blind, autistic and has Prader-Willi syndrome but stipulated that due to sanctions, this just wasn’t possible.

After receiving criticism for being seen doing other things, she wanted to get her point across that she just wasn’t able to be at the hospital 24/7 like people had suggested.
Addressing her subscribers, Katie said: “Harvey’s been in hospital for the past five days and I can’t visit him the whole time because you’re not allowed and because of Covid.
“A lot of people are saying ‘You should be with Harvey, you should be with Harvey’, well yeah I should be, but I’m not allowed, it’s as simple as that.”
Delving into the complications that Harvey now faces after reaching adulthood, she added: “When he was at Great Ormond Street I was allowed to be in the room with him the whole time.
“Now he’s 18 and he’s got rushed to Epsom Hospital, he’s in a ward – not in a ward, in intensive care – you’re hardly allowed anyone there and because of Covid it’s not that easy.
“You only get certain visiting hours and obviously I’m there when I can because of it, but in between, what am I gonna to do? Just sit at home and wait for the clock to go so I can see Harvey?

“No. I need to stimulate myself as well. So to make me feel good and things that I do for myself is ride, walk my dog, go on a sunbed, I even got my hair done last night and got my nails done.”
Providing fans with a brief update, she gave some reassurance that Harvey was now on the mend, although it would seem doctors may have established other complications during his time spent within intensive care.
The former glamour model wasn’t ready to delve into the details surrounding the hospital findings but briefly touched on why he still remained in hospital.

She continued: “At the beginning of the week I wasn’t sure what was happening with Harvey, but he’s still not coming out of hospital.
“They’ve discovered things about him, and I’m not ready to reveal what they are, but they have discovered things which is why he’s still in hospital.
“That’s all I can say, but he has turned a corner, he’s now talking, he’s absolutely fine but they’re doing what they need to do with him.
“In his attitude, I’ve got my Harvey Price back, he’s on form so that’s why I’m smiling.”
Harvey was raced to hospital after suffering from severe breathing difficulties, a dangerously high temperature and risk of organ failure.
The terrifying health scare left Dwight York’s son hospitalised for days, in an intensive care ward.
Fortunately, Harvey seems to have turned a corner and has moved to another ward.
