Christine Lampard 'cuts off' Andi Peters as he takes cheeky swipe at ITV star

Christine Lampard had no option but to cut off Andi Peters on today’s Lorraine after he took a swipe at one of her guests.

The 41-year-old, who is currently filling in for Lorraine Kelly during the summer break, was joined by Good Morning Britain presenter Ranvir Singh on today’s show.

While Ranvir sat on the sofa waiting to be interviewed, Christine jumped quickly to the competition segment, which showed Andi urging viewers to take part in the giveaway.

On August 10, Andi is due to take over from Christine, presenting Lorraine until the Scottish host returns from her summer holidays in September.

Andi couldn’t help but take a swipe at Ranvir on today’s show, as he suggested she would be “banned” from appearing on Lorraine while he is the host.

When she hinted she might return to Lorraine down the line, he swiped: “Not when I’m on, love.”

Their playful feud might have something to do with Andi’s earlier appearance on GMB – when he fell over during filming on a boat, Ranvir was quick to poke fun at him.

She joked: “Can I just say what an honour it is to be on the show with such a professional.”

Ranvir ordered Christine to ‘cut” Andi off’ on today’s show

Getting his own back on Lorraine and whipping out a piece of paper, Andi quipped that he had a list of celebrities who weren’t permitted to appear on the show during his reign.

Mocking anger, Ranvir instructed: “Cut him off Christine,” before ordering the camera crew to “push him in” the water.

Christine followed suit, and declared: “You’re off Andi.”

Instantly, Andi’s face disappeared from the screen, as Christine confided: “I bet he does have a list, do you know that. Everyone who’s crossed him.”

Ranvir and Christine burst into laughter before the conversation turned to her new TV series, titled Eat, Shop, Save.

Airing on ITV later this summer, the show sees GMB star Ranvir teach UK families the best ways to do their grocery shopping in an effort to save serious dough.

Lorraine airs on weekdays at 9am on ITV
