'Irresponsible' Katie Price slammed by PETA as third dog dies in horror accident

Katie Price has been slammed by animal rights organisation PETA after the puppy she bought for daughter Princess, Rolo, was found dead at their home.

PETE director Elisa Allen said: “For dogs’ sake, Katie must not be allowed to acquire any more animals.

“At least three dogs and one horse have died on her watch in the last few years alone – and she’s also tried to sell off two cats on Instagram as though they were shoes she no longer wore.

“Her irresponsible attitude is costing wonderful animals their lives, so PETA urges her – and anyone else unable to provide animals with appropriate care – to fill their homes with cuddly toys instead.”

Daily Star Online has contacted Katie’s representative for comment.

Princess received the cute puppy just a few weeks ago for her 13th birthday, but it was reportedly found dead by Harvey’s carer.

A source said: “Rolo was found dead by Harvey’s carer and they had to phone Katie to break the news.

“Katie is devastated and heartbroken and had to call Princess and break the news. Everyone’s in floods of tears.”

They added to the Sun: “It was a tragic accident nobody could have foreseen – it’s no one’s fault but Katie can’t stop crying.”

Just five months ago, another of Katie’s dogs, Sparkle, was killed after it ran into a busy road.

The Alsatian reportedly escaped from Katie’s Sussex home and was hit by a vehicle on the A24.

Last year, Katie’s dog Queenie was hit by a car and one of her horses died in a similar way back in 2017.

Earlier this year, the mum-of-five was said to have been reported to the RSPCA after her animals’ deaths.

At the time of Sparkle’s tragic death, Katie said: “I’m really p***ed off this morning. I’ve just woken to realise that one of my dogs has been killed on the road.

“I’ve just checked with the neighbours and everything seems to be how it was when they left dogs.

“I don’t know how they’ve escaped, but, yeah one of my Alsatians has been hit and killed.

“I was away last night with my PA. I left my neighbours to feed the dogs, ’cause that’s what they do when I’m not there. I lock them away and something’s obviously happened in the night.”

Katie now has her dog Blade, who she shared a photo of being groomed today.
