Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi’s mansion has reportedly been broken into – just months after the star was accused of being a “bully”.
Their shared $27m (£21m) mansion in Montecito, Santa Barbara County, California, was allegedly broken into on July 4, according to TMZ.
It’s reported local officials believe the couple were “targeted due to the victim’s celebrity status”.
The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office announced some of the stolen items include “high-value jewellery and watches” from the alleged burglary earlier this month.
Officials are reportedly working to find if the incident is related to other recent break-ins to celebrity homes in the area, according to the outlet.

It has not been confirmed if Ellen and her wife Portia were at home at the time of the alleged break-in.
Police have sent out messages to public figures warning them not to post on social media if they aren’t at home, and stars are advised to leave lights on when leaving the house.
The news comes after a series of accusations were made against the star for her “mean” behaviour.

Earlier this month, some of her employees came forward to claim they experienced “racism, fear, and intimidation” while working on The Ellen DeGeneres show.
Many people who claim to have worked for the presenter have shared stories about her alleged “off-set behaviour”.
Past and present workers on the show have alleged her “be kind” mantra is “bulls**t” and “all for show,” according to Buzzfeed.

It’s reported that one current employee and 10 former employees told the outlet about her “toxic work environment” but remained anonymous due to fear of retribution.
The outlet reported some of her staff claimed to have been “fired” for taking medical leave or bereavement days to attend family funerals.
Daily Star Online has contacted Ellen’s rep for comment.
