Emmerdale viewers slammed a huge plot twist tonight when it was revealed DI Malone was still alive.
The bent copper was attacked during last week’s episode, with Will Taylor brutally attacking him with a wrench after he launched a foul-mouthed attack on his daughter Dawn.
During tonight’s instalment of the ITV soap it was revealed the policeman was, in fact, alive.
After the huge plot twist, many fans were not surprised as they insisted they “knew he wasn’t dead”.
One said: “Told ya! He ain’t dead…”
While another wrote: “Come on we aren’t that thick to believe you’d kill him off.”
“Yeah, as if anyone was going to believe Malone was dead,” added a third.

A fourth penned: “I knew Malone would get up without a scratch!”
“I was just about to say, don’t tell me this is going to be one of those stupid bits where the ‘dead’ body gets up and walks.
“What do you know, it has. FFS” typed a fifth Emmerdale viewer.
Despite many seeing the plot twist coming, there were still plenty of viewers who were gobsmacked at the news that Malone hadn’t been killed after all.

The rivals went head-to-head at the garage, as the bent cop told him: “You’ve got a woman who put you in jail and a s***k for a daughter.
“Mind you, she’d probably show me a few tricks. Your little girl is nothing but a druggie, a two-quid w****. She’s going to end up dead anyway.”
Will grabbed a wrench and swung it at Malone, leaving him bloodied, on death’s door lying in a heap on the gravel.
Tonight, Malone was seen in hiding with blood all over his head – what will he do next?
Emmerdale airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7pm on ITV
