Lisa Marie Presley’s ex Michael Lockwood has expressed his concern for the star in legal documents – fearing the daughter of Elvis Presley could enter a downward spiral following the tragic death of her son Benjamin.
Benjamin Keough was just 27-years-old when he tragically took his own life on July 12.
In legal documents obtained by US site The Blast as part of Lockwood’s divorce and custody trial against Presley, Lockwood says he has “new and significant concern” she will relapse.
Presley and Lockwood have 11-year-old twins, Harper and Finley, who currently live with their mum.
The couple split in 2016, however, the divorce is only now being thrashed out in court.

According to The Blast, Lockwood reportedly stated in the documents: “Lisa Marie Presley’s son shot and killed himself in her home (Although she was not there at the time.)
“With all due sympathy and respect, this creates a new and unaddressed twofold problem: the safety of the children and the greater likelihood of [Presley] to relapse into drug and alcohol dependency.”
Daily Star Online has contacted Lisa Marie’s representatives for comment.
Presley has previously spoken frankly about her past addiction to painkillers and opioids.

She bluntly admitted she was “grateful to be alive today”.
Presley previously wrote: “You may read this and wonder how, after losing people close to me, I also fell prey to opioids.
“I was recovering after the [2008] birth of my daughters, [Harper] Vivienne and Finley, when a doctor prescribed me opioids for pain.
“It only took a short-term prescription of opioids in the hospital for me to feel the need to keep taking them.”

Presley had previously claimed it was her children that kept her sober.
Lockwood reportedly fears the heartbreaking death of her son Benjamin will push her over the edge.
She continued: “[I’m] grateful to be alive today… and to have four beautiful children who have given me a sense of purpose that has carried me through dark times.”
A rep for Lisa Maria Presley declined to comment.
