The Ellen DeGeneres Show has turned off Twitter comments following reports it has been placed under internal investigation by WarnerMedia.
The show host, 62, took to Twitter on Monday evening to promote a trivia app from Warner Brothers.
Ellen posted an image of a Looney Tunes advert to her social media profile alongside a link to the app.
“For anyone who feels like acting a little looney today,” she wrote.
Below the post, fans were unable to leave comments – following racism allegations from Ellen’s present and past employees.
It appears the comment section had been restricted to only show messages from people Ellen follows or mentioned in the Tweet.

Comedian Kevin Porter labelled Ellen “one of the meanest people alive” back in March, which led to allegations being made against her.
His Twitter thread went viral and he received a number of responses from former staff who corroborated his accusation.
Ellen is famed for telling viewers to “be kind” at the end of her show, despite the ongoing Twitter storm.
