Coronation Street fans were furious with Tim Metcalfe after he turned away his real mum Elaine.
Geoff Metcalfe’s ex-wife told Tim that she was his mum in heartbreaking scenes, but Tim was not convinced.
After Elaine delivered the news, he became enraged and yelled at her to “get out”.
The character added angrily: “Good mums don’t walk out on their kids!”
He continued to refuse to believe his dad Geoff was the evil villain, and viewers were raging as they wanted the character to “wake up”.
One said: “Tim is literally tone deaf to the truth.”

While another wrote: “Omg Tim you are so deluded. Elaine has just told you that she is your mother and you are dismissing it. My god your deluded.”
“OH I HATE YOU TIM”, fumed a third.
A fourth penned: “Tim is actually the thickest person alive.”
“Wake up Dim Tim,” raged a fifth.

Coronation Street spoilers have revealed that Elaine will try and win Tim over once again in upcoming episodes.
Next week, Elaine will introduce herself to Sally in the cafe and tell her that she’s Tim’s mum.
She will explain that it broke her heart to abandon Tim but Geoff made her life hell, so now she wants to do anything she can to help Yasmeen.

Sally tells her not to give up on Tom after he turned her away the first time.
Elaine will then head to Street Cars to look for Tim but be left horrified when evil Geoff appears.
