Nicki Minaj’s sex offender husband Kenneth Petty could miss the birth of their first child together, if his bail conditions aren’t overturned.
The 37-year-old rap star could have to go it alone on the delivery ward, should her husband’s application to the court not be successful.
Petty now faces trial on a charge of failing to register that he was a sex offender, following a move to the Hollywood state with his wife.
As a result of the charge against him, he is now restricted to strict bail conditions that include limited travel and a curfew, until his next appearance in court.

According to reports, Petty’s lawyers have applied to the court requesting for the judge to overturn some of his conditions, due to work circumstances and the expectancy of his first child with Nicki, later this year.
Legally, if Nicki goes into labour after curfew hours, he will be bound by law from witnessing the birth in person.
Hollywood Life have obtained documents that specify Petty is asking for the ability to travel as Nicki’s manager as well as flexibility with his curfew to be present at the birth.
The document read: “Mr Petty is currently employed as a manager for his spouse, Nicki Minaj. His employment requires periodic domestic travel as well as periodic work outside of his curfew hours.

“Mr. Petty is also expecting a child. He has been advised that his current release conditions will not permit him to attend his child’s birth if it should occur outside of curfew hours.
“Mr Petty submits the proposed modification so he can attend his child’s birth.”
It is believed the decision is still pending as Petty and Nicki await the ruling on his application.

Back in 1994, at the age of 16, Petty was charged with first degree rape of a 15 year old victim and faced 18 to 54 months in prison.
After being convicted of rape, by law he must register as a sex offender in New York State.
By moving to California with wife Nicki, he stoked new legal action after it became evident that he’d failed to register his conviction after he was stopped by police.
Petty has pleaded not guilty to the charge of failing to register his crime, with his trial now delayed until April 2021.
