Barbara Windsor has been moved to a care home, her heartbroken husband of 20 years Scott has confirmed.
The EastEnders iconic star, who played the loveable but feisty Peggy Mitchell, has been battling dementia for many years now.
And now Scott has revealed that the star is no longer living with him at their family home and has been moved to a care home.
Just two weeks ago, Scott said he took the advice from Barbara’s neurologist and moved her into a care home full-time so she can receive more frequent treatment and care, a decision he says left him heartbroken.

Speaking to The Sun, Scott said: “I have been used to hustle and bustle in this little space, then suddenly, silence . . . all you can hear are your thoughts, and that’s not always healthy.
“I feel I’m on an emotional rollercoaster. I walk around, trying to keep busy, then burst in to tears. It feels like a bereavement.
“It’s always been my biggest fear, that one day I would have to take her somewhere and she’d be thinking, ‘Why would he do this to me?’
“That fear has become a reality. It’s something I never wanted.”

Speaking to the publication, he reportedly fought back tears as he continued by explaining its still “so raw”.
He said: “Sorry, it’s still so raw. I always said we were like two little munchkins in our little house . . . and now there’s just one munchkin.”
While Barbara is best known for playing the pub landlady on the BBC soap EastEnders, the actress boasts an impressive career in British television.
She sprung to fame when she starred in nine Carry On movies during the 1960s and 70s.

In 1994 she joined the EastEnders cast, playing Peggy Mitchell until 2016 when her character was killed off.
The same year she was appointed Dame for services to charity and entertainment.
In 2014 she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, something that wasn’t made public until 2018.
