Gogglebox star Shaun Malone has explained why his older siblings Lee and Vanessa never appear on the show that made their family famous.
The Malones on the show are made up of dad Tom Senior, mum Julie and brothers Tom Junior and Shaun.
Now, Shaun, 24, has revealed why it is that his older siblings haven’t made appearances on the popular Channel 4 series.
The new dad said: “When the show approached us, it was just me, Tom [Jr], mum and dad who were living together.
“But Vanessa was at university and Lee was off living in his house, so they weren’t living at home, so it wouldn’t have made sense for them to be on the show.”

The football fanatic added to Metro: “That’s literally the only reason.”
The Malone family joined the show in 2014 and have become one of the most popular groups on Gogglebox.
They’ve taken part ever since and are now staple members of the show six years later.
Shaun added: “We have been extremely fortunate that we have stayed doing it for [so] long. We never expected it to go on as long as it has.”

During lockdown, Channel 4 brought viewers another series of the celebrity version of the show, with the likes of Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash, Harry and Sandra Redknapp, and Laura Whitmore and Iain Stirling taking part.
However it has been confirmed that a new series of the regular version will be back on September 11.
Show boss Tania Alexander confirmed the news on Twitter on Sunday.

Gogglebox has been on our screens since March 2013 and has shot a number of regular people to stardom thanks to their witty remarks.

Meanwhile, other cast members have gone on to appear on shows like Celebrity Big Brother, I’m A Celebrity and even Celebs Go Dating.
The most recent series aired between February and March and introduced viewers to newbies Anne and Ken.
