Ben Shephard tipped for I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! after GMB exit

Ben Shephard could be chowing down on kangaroo testicles before the year is out on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! if the bookies have got it right.

The Tipping Point host, 45, has had his odds cut from 5-1 to 2-1 to appear in the jungle on the Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly-hosted programme this year.

The new odds come after it was revealed that Ben would be taking a break from Good Morning Britain to concentrate on filming Tipping Point.

Coral’s John Hill said: “With no early morning starts to worry about now on Good Morning Britain, our betting suggests Ben Shephard could take the plunge into the I’m A Celeb jungle this year.”

One of his closest pals and longtime co-host Kate Garraway, 53, announced the news that Ben would be taking a break from GMB.

Speaking on the programme this week, she said: “This is Ben’s last day!

“You’re going having a bit of time off, aren’t you?”

Ben explained that he would be resuming filming the gameshow, which has been on hiatus since the beginning of lockdown and will be returning to GMB in September.

He shared: “We’re about to hit peak Tipping Point! Tipping Point series 11 and we’re all back in the studio, back socially distanced.

“I think I might do it with Andi [Peters] because he’s doing Lorraine in a couple of weeks. But the set’s had to change in order to get everybody up and running.

“I’m not going to be here but I’m going to be working, Kate Garraway! I know you think I’ve got my feet up and trotters up down in the south of France!”

Adil Ray and Sean Fletcher will be filling in for Ben while he is on a break.
