Coronation Street actress Tina O’Brien has passed down her talents through generations, as her daughter Scarlett launches her acting career at the age of 11.
Tina and her former co-star Ryan Thomas welcomed little Scarlett Jacqueline Thomas into the world back in 2008, and their showbiz credentials have clearly rubbed off on the schoolgirl.
The 37-year-old soap star revealed the youngster recently auditioned for a Disney project, kicking her acting career into motion.
Speaking to The Mirror, actress Tina, who plays Sarah Platt on Corrie, explained the potential acting gig would take place in LA.
She said: “I would be happy for her to do whatever she wants to do. She’s just auditioned for a new Disney thing that would be filming in LA.

“She had a lot of script to learn and I said, ‘This is the reality, Scarlett. If you want to do this, you have to put the time and effort in.’
“Her American accent was ridiculous, though. So good! I think she’s got the bug. But she also loves the idea of being an entrepreneur – so I’m not quite sure what she wants to do.”
Tina and Ryan, who played Corrie’s Jason Grimshaw, dated for six years, bringing their relationship to an end in 2009.
The beloved soap star opened up about her daughter’s talents, predicting the youngster will have a bright future in performance ahead of her.

She said: “She’s a really good mimic. And the most incredible singer. She’s brilliant and she’s getting better and better. I’m really excited for her when she’s older.”
Tina first appeared in Corrie at the age of 16, recently celebrating 20 years on the cobbles with her onscreen brother Jack Shepherd.
Over the years, Sarah Platt has had no shortage of dramatic storylines, but next week’s trip to Weatherfield looks set to be her juiciest plot in a long time.
