Tipping Point was back on our screens this afternoon as ITV aired another throwback episode of the popular game show.
Presenter Ben Shephard welcomed contestants Tyler, Kirsty, Louise and Howard to the ITV quiz show on Monday.
The four hopefuls fought it out to win the coveted £10,000 jackpot.
Retired school headteacher Howard made it through to final round of the game show.
Things turned awkward as the pensioner made a rude joke while answering a question on pop music.
Good Morning Britain star Ben asked Howard who sang 1976 song Save Your Kisses For Me.
While debating the answer, the contestant told the presenter: “1976 is the year I got married.
“It was a very hot year, in every respect.”
A gobsmacked Ben bursted into laughter at Howard’s cheeky comment.
ITV viewers rushed to their keyboards to discuss the contestant’s rude remark.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer ranted: “OMG Howard reminiscing about his sex life on national TV, while Pearl is watching at home.”
Another added: “1976.. a hot year.. in every respect.. right, Howard, let’s put these counters in … “
A third penned: “Steady Howard.”
While a fourth said: “Howard’s a right little raver on the quiet.
Howard was also left speechless as he managed to win the show and walked away with a whooping £10,000.
Host Ben said to the winner: “You did your research and it’s all gone brilliantly.”
“What do you think wife Pearl is going to say?
Howard joked: “I won’t tell her.”
Tipping Point airs weekdays on ITV at 4pm
