Simon Cowell broke his back after falling from an electric bike, which has since been dubbed “the fastest on earth”.
According to The Mirror, the music mogul purchased a Swind EB-01 bike, which isn’t his first bike, however, can Deliver a 15kW of electric power – making it super speedy.
The Swind company describes the two-wheeler as “Lightweight, strong and brutally fast”.
Elsewhere on the website, they boast: “Delivering a staggering 15kW of electric power, this is the most technically advanced and powerful electric bicycle on the market.”
And the bike has received rave reviews from a number of publications, including Wallpaper magazine.

In a review, Wallpaper called it “the fastest electric bike on earth”, adding it’s “a tech toy for thrill-seekers”.
The article, originally published in 2018, went on to say “the EB-01 has an official top speed of 60mph. With a bit of tuning and tinkering, says its designer Raphaël Caillé, it could go as fast as 80.”
Simon crashed his electric bike in Malibu and underwent a gruelling six hours of surgery where he “narrowly avoided paralysis”.

The 60-year-old was rushed to the Providence Saint John’s hospital in Santa Monica following the freak accident.
A spokesperson for the X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent confirmed the star has “broken his back in a number of places whilst testing a new electric bike in the courtyard of his home in Malibu with his family”.
Breaking his silence, Simon took to Twitter, admitting he should have read the instruction before hopping on his new purchase.

He wrote: “Some good advice… If you buy an electric trail bike, read the manual before you ride it for the first time. I have broken part of my back. Thank you to everyone for your kind messages.”
In a separate post, he sent his thanks to the nurses and doctors who treated him in his hour of need.
An insider told The Mirror Simon has had a metal rod inserted into his back and will remain in hospital for at least a few more days.
