Emmerdale's Lisa Riley likens herself to Adele after staggering 12st weight loss

Emmerdale ‘s Lisa Riley has spoken about her dramatic weight loss, and compares it to Adele’ s staggering transformation.

The 44-year-old soap star, who is known for playing the beloved Mandy Dingle on the ITV programme, has sympathised with Adele as her weight loss has seemingly been focused on more than her music.

Lisa has recently celebrated 30 years in showbusiness, and has insisted she doesn’t want her weight loss to overshadow her career achievements.

The Mandy Dingle icon, who is preparing to marry her fiancé Al, explained that she believes Adele’s major body transformation is talked about more than her staggering career.

She revealed she found it sad how people seem to be focusing on her weight loss more than the array of Grammy awards as a singer has won.

Lisa told The Sun: “It’s as if we are going to forget how many Grammys she has won and all of a sudden go, ‘She has lost an awful lot of weight’.

“Let’s talk about her talent and how phenomenal she is.

“Of course she looks stunning, amazing and sensational but it’s about how she has turned a corner in her life — just as I did when mum died.”

Lisa has lost an incredible amount of weight, and says she has “never felt better” and is loving that she is “curvy” and is particularly impressed with her bum.

She revealed that behind the scenes on Emmerdale, they joke that while her backside “might not be J-Lo” she is pleased that “it’s mine!”
