Piers Morgan has demanded that The Queen strips Prince Harry and Meghan Markle of their Sussexes titles in his latest social media rant.
Meghan, 39, made a bold plea to women across the US to take part in the upcoming presidential election yesterday, speaking out about the need for ‘change’ at an online voter summit, while telling participants: “If we aren’t part of the solution, we are part of the problem.”
The Duchess of Sussex made her stance on the 2020 presidential race incredibly clear when she addressed viewers at the When All Women Vote Couch Party – an online event organised by non-profit organisation When We All Vote, which was founded by Michelle Obama.
Sharing a clip of Meghan talking about the upcoming US election on his Twitter account, Piers penned: “The Queen must strip the Sussexes of their titles.
“They can’t remain as royals and spout off about foreign elections in such a brazenly partisan way.”

In the clip, Meghan says: “We’re only 75 days away from election day and that is so very close and yet there is so much work to be done in that amount of time because we all know what is at stake this year.
“I know it, I think all of you certainly know it. And if you’re here on this fun event with us then you are just as mobilised and energised to see the change that we all need and deserve.”
The outspoken Good Morning Britain presenter’s latest online rant comes just weeks after he slammed Meghan’s husband Prince Harry after the Duke of Sussex announced his and his wife’s plans to change social media forever.
The former newspaper editor couldn’t help but vent his frustration after Harry dropped a 1,400 word opinion piece for US business magazine Fast Company.

In it the 35-year-old says social media is “unwell” and has stoked a “crisis of hate”, as he spoke of how he and his wife Meghan plan to make big changes.
Taking to his Twitter account, Piers penned: “Prince Harry declares war on division & a ‘crisis of hate’, after co-operating with a book that has deepened division within his own family & fuelled a crisis of mutual hate with his brother.
“Once again, the tone-deaf Duke leads by lack of example.”

Piers followed it up by attaching a picture of the pair smiling while out on a royal job a few years back.
Meghan’s appearance at the summit is the latest in a series of interviews and speeches that the Duchess has made in an attempt to become more politically active – having reportedly grown ‘frustrated’ at her inability to get involved in politics while she was working as a senior royal.
Earlier this month, she confirmed her plans to vote in the 2020 election, while speaking to Marie Claire about the importance of voting.
Piers is currently taking an extended break from presenting the ITV breakfast show.
He and co-star Susanna Reid are expected to return to work at the beginning of September.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV at 6am
