Emmerdale exes Mandy and Paul reunion 'confirmed' after steamy barn romp

Emmerdale fans were left with their jaws on the floor after Mandy Dingle and Paul Ashdale reunited for a steamy barn romp recently after weeks of tension.

And despite Mandy protesting her feelings for her ex Paul, it seems there’s plenty of action still to come between them.

Paul actor Reece Dinsdale told Daily Star Online: “You don’t create such wonderful character as Mandy, and hopefully Paul, and put them together and not expect there to be some fireworks at some point, so yes, there’ll be plenty to come.

“But the great thing is it’s a triangle, there’s the three of us involved in this.

Mandy and Paul are set for an explosive few weeks after their barn romp

“There’s a lot of different machinations and combinations of stories that can be exciting for us.”

Next week, Paul comes up with a plan involving his son Vinny (Bradley Johnson) to get back with Mandy, but when she learns of it she’s not happy.

But could that stop her from finding a happy ever ending with Paul?

Mandy actress Lisa Riley worries that it’s “in her DNA” that she will end up not finding happiness because of her “vulnerability”.

Mandy is set to expose Paul’s gambling addiction

Lisa told us: “She’s full of bravado, full of camp and fun, but when love’s concerned she is a bit of a doormat. Men walk all over her.

“She gives too much too quickly, but that goes with her bravado and her vulnerability and she just wants to be loved.”

She went on: “When people in life are like that, that’s when they get stung and that’s when they get burnt, that’s what we’re portraying in this storyline.”

Reece Dinsdale promised ‘fireworks’ to come between the former couple

Mandy has a mean-spirited storyline coming up though, in which she will let slip about Paul’s gambling problem.

Lisa told us: “What is going to be interesting, when we do move forward, when she doesn’t get her own way, Mandy can be quite mean.

“Mandy’s going to let the village know about Paul’s addiction and see how that turns out, because that’s a real bullet of one of the episodes, the lengths of how mean she can be.

“But it is coming from a really good place.

“It’s that frustration, like, ‘Why is no one believing me?’ So that’s how we switch it there, moving forward.”

It’s clear there’s definitely passion still brewing between Paul and Mandy, but will they get a second chance at love together?

Emmerdale currently airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7pm on ITV
