A farm in North Wales has been revealed as an additional site for the upcoming series of I ‘m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Manorafon Farm Park have confirmed they have been handpicked by ITV bosses as another filming location for the hit reality show.

The farm, which is situated less than ten minutes from Gwrych Castle is home to several animals as well as a vast amount of green space.

Although, it is currently unclear as to how Manorafon Farm will be involved with the show or what famous Bushtucker Challenges will take place at the location.

The news comes as a huge boost for the farm who recently suffered devastating losses due to the coronavirus pandemic lockdown.

Speaking to North Wales Live, a spokesperson said: “As many of you will be aware, the losses we sustained at the beginning of our season because of the coronavirus pandemic have hit us hard.

“As we reach the end of our main season, we have had to consider making some very difficult decisions.

“We were recently approached with the opportunity to provide ITV with exclusive use of our site until the end of 2020 as they film I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here on the neighbouring Gwrych Castle Estate.”

They went on to say: “This unique opportunity provides us with the ability to invest in the farm and continue with our exciting plans for 2021 and beyond. As such, we will be closed for the remainder of the 2020 season.”

Ahead of the announcement, bosses at the attraction revealed they would be closing their doors to the public.

Speculation was rife suggesting that ITV bosses had chosen North Wales as the new location, following the news Australia had closed their borders due to the coronavirus.

Dr Mark Baker, Chair of the Gwrych Castle Preservation Trust said: “I’m absolutely delighted that I’m A Celebrity has chosen Gwrych Castle to be its UK location for the 2020 series.

“Gwrych Castle is a beautiful grade I listed 19th-century country house and a must-see destination for tourists visiting Wales.

“I’m A Celebrity being here will really help support Gwrych Castle and its ongoing restoration as well as giving the region a much-needed economic boost.”
