Good Morning Britain presenter Ranvir Singh spoke about an awkward dating encounter on the show today.
Ranvir and her fellow presenter Alex Beresford were hosting a discussion about whether ‘wokefishing’ (pretending to be interested in a social cause) is deceitful on a first date.
Discussing her own dating past, Ranvir, 43, said she was fooled by a man with a receding hairline, who she compared to EastEnders character Phil Mitchell.
The brunette said she had only seen photos of the man in a hat before they met.
Then when she went on the date he took his hat off – revealing his hairline.

She said that he told her she wanted to get his hair cut like Brad Pitt, as she replied: “You look nothing like Brad Pitt, you look more like Phil Michell.”
And it seems like her date didn’t like being compared to the EastEnders star very much as he told her she was “no Cameron Diaz”.
Ranvir admitted the situation was awkward, saying she “reacted instinctively” as she was “surprised” by his receding hairline.

Her co-star Alex, 39, also opened up about a dating disaster on the show today – saying he was “fat-fished” but a larger woman.
Alex said: “So I turned up for a date, this is probably about 15 years ago, and she was a lot different… a lot larger than she looked like in her profile picture.

“I would have just rather known from the get-go.”
Ranvir and Alex are filling in for usual hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid, who have been on their summer break.
However Piers and Susanna are set to return to the show next Tuesday.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV at 6am
