Chadwick Boseman's cause of death as Marvel's Black Panther star dies aged 43

Marvel actor Chadwick Boseman has died at the age of 43 following a lengthy health battle.

The news of the Black Panther star’s death has shocked the showbiz world after a heart-wrenching tribute revealed the cause of his death.

On Chadwick’s official Instagram account, which boasts 8.3million followers, a black and white photograph of the star was shared by likely a family member or friend which broke the news.

In the caption, fans were left tearing up to hear that Chadwick had died after losing his four year battle to cancer.

The post explained how the star had been battling the disease since 2016 when he was diagnosed wth stage three colon cancer but sadly it had spread to stage four before his death.

It read: “It is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the passing of Chadwick Boseman.

“Chadwick was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016, and battled with it these last 4 years as it progressed to stage IV. “

The post went on to include a heartbreaking tribute for the late actor.

“A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much,” it read.

The tribute continued: “From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and several more, all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy. ⁣

“It was the honor of his career to bring King T’Challa to life in Black Panther. ⁣

“He died in his home, with his wife and family by his side. ⁣

“The family thanks you for your love and prayers, and asks that you continue to respect their privacy during this difficult time. “

Chadwick’s fans and fellow celeb pals rushed to pay tribute to him in the comments section as the post racked up 8.6million likes in just a few hours.

Actress Zoe Saldana wrote: “The classiest Avenger and most quiet warrior. My heart is heavy right now. I wished I had the courage to tell you how your performance of T’Challa was the best portrayal of a King I had ever seen. Rest in Power and Grace Brother. My sons will know your name forever!”

Oprah wrote: “What a gentle gifted SOUL. Showing us all that Greatness in between surgeries and chemo. The courage, the strength the Power it takes to do that. I’m in shock and awe!”

Businessman Marquis Trill said: “Thank you for giving us a great acting career and giving the black community a great super hero to motivate us during a time we needed it the most!
