US weather reporter Kelly Plasker has died at the age of 42.
Shortly before her death, the KCBD News Channel 11 reporter shared a concerning post about mental health, saying her “brain is broken”.
The 42-year-old weather forecaster, who was based in Texas, died suddenly on Sunday morning.
No further details of the tragedy have been revealed.
News of Plasker’s tragic death was announced on KCBD News Channel 11 on Sunday, as her colleagues paid tribute to her legacy on the network.
Anchor Kase Wilbanks told viewers: “Her sudden death early this morning has broken our hearts.”
A separate voiceover then continued: “She was a bright spot in our weekend mornings, and in our lives…
“In her three years on air, she showed us her passion for weather, which came through in her forecasts that kept us all safe and prepared for the day ahead.

“From the KCBD family to Kelly, we share our sympathies. We’re grateful for the time we shared with Kelly and the joy she shared with us.”
KCBD News Channel 11 then shared details of the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.

Shortly before her death, Plasker shared a devastating post with her followers on social media, claiming she had been preyed upon by a high school band director for several years.
She wrote: “Thanks all I needed to get out there as my final confession for the sins I am responsible for adding to the cros.
“I love you my friends. My brain is broken and I cannot take it anymore.”
