Coronation Street boss hints evil Geoff to be 'exposed' by sex worker Nicky

Coronation Street fans have been hoping to see justice served on the cobbles for some time, as abuser Geoff Metcalfe spread his campaign of lies.

Thankfully, it seems the Corrie villain is about to be exposed, as he bumps into sex worker Nicky Wheatley (Kimberly Hart-Simpson) in Weatherfield.

The kind-hearted escort has grown close with Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) over recent months, dressing up as his late wife Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) to help him cope with his grief.

However, Corrie executive producer Iain MacLeod has revealed her character is about to get caught up in a whole new storyline, after an unexpected encounter with Geoff (Ian Bartholomew).

Kimberly Hart-Simpson has proven a dazzling addition to the cast, playing Nicky

He said: “We’ve got more coming up for Daniel Osborne.

“Obviously we’ve seen the beginnings of his slightly messed up burgeoning friendship with Nicky, the sex worker.

“That will rumble on for quite some time but not in the manner that you were expecting.

“One of my favourite elements of that story is that is draws in Geoff in a certain point, in a way that will become significant in the run-up to Yasmeen’s court hearing at the end of the year.”

Hyping the big reveal, he added: “So that’s going to be big for us.”

Geoff’s wife Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) is currently in prison for attempted murder, having stabbed him with a wine bottle in self-defence.

For almost a year, viewers watched in horror as Geoff tormented her behind closed doors, controlling her behaviour and spying on her with CCTV footage.

Grief-stricken Daniel has hired Nicky to pretend to be Sinead

The sinister restaurateur also spent his money on escorts, sneaking off on secret hook-ups behind Yasmeen’s unsuspecting back.

As Yasmeen’s court date looms, she needs all the help she can in the trial, with witness reports and character statements from those close to Geoff.

Could Nicky have the evidence to prove Geoff isn’t the innocent husband he pretends to be?

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm
