Michael Jackson ’s son Prince baffled This Morning fans as he revealed his real name on the ITV show today.

Prince revealed during the interview his actual name was Michael, leading to some confusion as Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes then addressed him as Michael for the rest of the interview.

He said: “Not many people know that is my name, and I am proud to share the same name as my father.”

Prince added: “Sharing such a powerful name, I don’t want to say there is pressure or a weight because that has a negative connotation, but there is this legacy that my father worked very hard to build and maintain.”

However, the revelation left some viewers confused, as Ruth and Eamonn continued to call him “Michael” for the remainder of the chat.

One said: “I’m confused why are they calling him Michael?”

“Why does she Keep calling him Michael??” wondered a second.

And a third chimed: “Ruth & Eamon his name is Prince!!”

While the 23-year-old biological name is Michael, he tends to prefer to go by “Prince,” which has been his lifelong nickname.

As well as reveal this, the US star discussed his non-profit organisation on the show.

Prince set up the charity, the Heal Los Angeles Foundation, when he graduated from university to help create educational initiatives for underprivileged communities.

He opened up about the charity as he spoke with Ruth and Eamonn, describing the youngsters that have been helped by the foundation.

Prince explained: “It is inspired by my father’s Heal the World Foundation.”

Warming viewers’ hearts, he added: “It’s very important for us to provide positive learning experiences, especially for the underserved communities in LA.”

The young Jackson also praised his siblings’ achievements, revealing Paris is “really focused on her career and her music” and adding that his younger brother Blanket “impresses me with how intelligent he is”.

He added: “There is an unspoken bond, we can almost read each other’s thoughts.”
