Steps have hinted they could be making a comeback 20 years after they first split.
The band has enjoyed several reunions over the years, and last got on stage in 2017 when they released their fifth studio album, Tears on the Dancefloor.
Now they have sent their fans into a meltdown after sharing videos of themselves on Instagram with giant neon letters, which spell out the name of the band.
Band member Claire Richards first shared a video of herself wearing a black sequined dress as a giant neon “S” flickered behind her.
Lee Latchford-Evans then did the same in front of a “T”, and Lisa Scott-Lee flaunted an “E”.

Fay Tozer posed with an S and wrote “tell me what the future holds,” while Ian ‘H’ Watkins held a “P” and said, “one foot in the future…”
Fans couldn’t contain their excitement over the potential prospect of the smash-hit group taking the stage again.
One of the first to comment was Steps superfan and TV presenter Rylan Clark-Neal.
He said: “2020 is being saved.”
“Deep breaths deep breaths OMG,” another wrote.

“So I’ve literally just screamed and squealed like a teenager at this,” a third admitted.
A fourth added: “OMG IVE NEVER BEEN HAPPIER TO SEE A NEON PINK S IN MY ENTIRE LIFE.”
Steps formed in 1997, and gained a huge hit with techno line-dancing song 5,6,7,8 – which, while it only reached number 14 in the charts, became a staple for the band.
In 1998, they reached the number one spot with a cover of The Bee Gees’ Tragedy.
The group split on Boxing Day 2001, despite repeatedly denying they were breaking up.

H & Claire briefly recorded as a duo, while Lisa Scott-Lee abandoned her solo career after her single Electric failed to make the top ten while she appeared on the reality show Totally Scott-Lee.
Lee attempted to launch a new band called Upper Street with Dane Bowers and Bradley McIntosh of S Club 7 fame on the show Totally Boyband, but was sacked before the release of their first single.
Faye turned her attention to acting, and has appeared in several stage productions.
The five-piece band released new music in 2012 following a brief reunion.
They then released a comeback album in 2017 and went on a massive tour before parting ways again.
