Love Island's Dr Alex returns to social media following brother's death

Love Island star Dr Alex George has returned to Instagram after taking a break from social media following the death of his younger brother.

The 30-year-old NHS doctor was left heartbroken in July when his brother, Llŷr, died aged 20, after struggling with his mental health.

Alex announced soon after he shared the tragic news with his fans that he would be taking time away from social media to spend some time with his family and look after his own wellbeing.

The former islander marked his return to social media on Monday by posting a snap of himself sitting on a bench in the outdoor surrounded by greenery.

Alex captioned the photograph shared the photograph on his Instagram page alongside the caption: “Hi everyone – I am back.
