Sir Captain Tom Moore will be seen breaking down while talking about his grandkids during Piers Morgan ‘s Life Stories this weekend
The 100-year-old war veteran rose to fame after he honourably walked up and down his garden with his walker 100 times in a bid to raise money for the NHS at the height of the coronavirus pandemic.
His charity efforts were picked up by every single publication and the public fell head over heels in love with Sir Captain Tom, and rightly so.
He went on to raise an absolutely astonishing £32, 795, 065 for the NHS so it could tackle the deadly disease which has heartbreakingly killed over 40,000 people in the UK alone.

Appearing on Piers show, which is due to air on ITV at 8pm on Sunday, Sir Tom breaks down sweetly while discussing his grandchildren.
On Good Morning Britain today, Piers took the time to promote the show ahead of its launch.
He told viewers tuning into the breakfast news show that Sir Tom has a “great sense of humour”.
Piers explained that they had interviewed Sir Tom’s daughter Hannah and his four grandchildren, who he had moved in with after his wife had tragically died.

Before playing the clip for viewers to see themselves, Piers said: “I played him the interviews and I could see that he was really welling up with what the grandkids were saying.”
After his adoring grandchildren shared how proud they were of their granddad, Sir Tom was overcome with emotion.
In the clip, Piers says to Sir Tom: “That’s got to be pretty good hearing the grandkids talking about you like that.”
“I was very fortunate…” Sir Tom began but became too emotional to continue.

Piers picked up on this and said: “It’s made you emotional, hasn’t it?”
“Yes,” Sir Tom replied.
Piers then asked why he felt emotional about it and Sir Tom replied: “Well, I’ve always said, ‘Tomorrow’s a good day’ and that was a good day when I moved in with them.”
“You must be very proud of them,” Piers questioned.
“Yes, I am,” Sir Tom replied. “I’ve got four grandchildren and what more can you wish for than that?”
