The Chase fans gush over 'hot' player who also appeared on rival ITV dating show

The Chase fans were impressed by “hot” contestant Paiton Barker during Sunday’s repeated episode of the ITV show.

She not only charmed viewers with her looks, but also her brains, as the then 19-year-old made it through to the final chase against chaser Shaun Wallace.

However, one viewer noticed that Paiton was actually on Take Me Out two years after her The Chase appearance.

She took part in the 2019 series of the dating show hosted by Paddy McGuinness when she was 22.

One viewer said: “This Wigan lass doing well on #TheChase was on #TakeMeOut wasn’t she?”

Another said: “Paiton on The Chase. Hot and clever,” adding a heart-eyes emoji to their comment.

“Hellooooooo, @Paiton_B on #TheChase,” gushed a third.

A fourth penned: “She’s nice.”

Paiton made it to the final chase alongside fellow contestants Ciro and Anne.

It was a hugely tense final, with the trio beating Shaun, known as The Dark Destroyer, with just one question to spare.

They won an impressive £15,000 between them, and fans were thrilled for the team after their victory.

One tweeted: “Well done team!!”

While another said: “That was close.”

“Well done team,” added another.

Paiton starred in Take Me Out 2019, the show’s final season before it came to an end.

It was announced the ITV dating show had been axed in February after 11 seasons, as the show had “run its course”.

A TV source told the Sun: “ITV and Paddy have done all the specials you can eke out of a dating show, so it’s been decided it’s time for it to go.

“As with many shows, ratings have slid a bit in recent years.

“But it will go down as a big success — it’s had more weddings than Blind Date.”

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
