Will Smith's Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air mansion is being rented out on Airbnb

It’s been 30 years since Will Smith rocked up in a cab in Los Angeles and knocked the door of what would become an iconic mansion for the first time – and now you can do the same.

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air mansion is being added to Airbnb’s listings for a limited time only, giving mega fans a chance to stay in the famed Bel-Air residence.

The enormous California abode was the setting for the NBC sitcom that ran from 1990 to 1996 – although indoor scenes were filmed in a studio.

The property, located in the posh neighbourhood of Brentwood, near Bel-Air, featured heavily in the epic series.

Fans caught a glimpse of the Banks’ family residence in every opening credits reel and every time Will’s best friend Jazz was chucked out.

Smith, who announced a reboot of the series last week, said he is working with the mansion’s owners to invite fans in for a stay.

“It’s just as fly as it was when I first rolled up the driveway,” Smith wrote in the Airbnb description.

“And this time, I’m handing you the keys so you’ll have my wing of the mansion all to yourself – but my sneaker collection is off limits, aight?”

Fans can stay in Will’s room and have all their meals “provided and served on silver platters, of course”.

There’s also an incredible pool lounge area – “great for dips” – and the house has been decked out with decked out with “bold graffiti art and timeless family portraits”.

Guests can then “”ace up a fresh pair of Air Jordans before shooting some b-ball in the bedroom, spin throwback classics all night on turntables and don a fly look from Will’s closet, from argyle prepster to all-star Bel-Air athlete”.

Overnight bookings are $30 (£23) and are available on five specific dates only (2, 5, 8, 11 and 14 October). Booking opens on 29 September.

While Smith will not be there to greet guests, DJ Jazzy Jeff (who played Will’s best friend Jazz) and a socially distanced mansion concierge will welcome visitors virtually when they arrive.

DJ Jazzy Jeff will also be hosting an Airbnb Online Experience “in which he’ll teach guests how to spin and scratch like a hip-hop legend”.

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air launched Will Smith’s career when it originally aired from September 1990 to May 1996.

Smith played Will, a fictional version of himself, who’d been sent by his mum from Philadelphia to live with his uncle, aunt, cousins and their butler in Bel-Air.

The iconic show starred the late James Avery as Uncle Phil, Janet Hubert and Daphne Maxwell Reid who both played Aunt Viv, Alfonso Ribeiro as Carlton, Karyn Parsons as Hilary, Tatyana M. Ali as Ashley and Joseph Marcell as Geoffrey Butler.

Will Smith teased fans last week when he shared a snap on Instagram of the surviving cast members filming a reunion special to commemorate the show’s 30th anniversary.

He wrote: “Today is exactly 30 YEARS since The @FreshPrince of Bel-Air debuted! So we’re doin’ something for y’all… a for real Banks Family Reunion is comin’ soon to @HBOmax!”

HBO Max said the show will be a “funny and heartfelt night full of music, dancing, and more special surprise guests”.
