Paris Hilton has dropped the “ditzy blonde” act and spoken in her normal voice in a bombshell new documentary about the truth behind her glam heiress lifestyle.
The former Simple Life star, 39, said she was “performing” most of the time she was in the limelight and her girlie “baby voice” was part of the facade.
In an interview with Today and Sunrise, promoting her new YouTube documentary, This Is Paris, she is asked who she thinks she really is underneath the hype.
Using her “normal” voice, Paris says: “Well this entire time I have been playing a character so the world has never really truly known who I am.

“And the real me is actually someone who is brilliant and I am not a dumb blonde – I’m just really good at pretending to be one,” she adds.
Fans were staggered by the change in Paris’ vocal timbre and many complimented the new and unexpected sound on Twitter.
One follower told her: “I love your deep authentic voice. It’s beautiful.”

A second fan tweeted to her: “@ParisHilton major respect for sharing your story.
“So good to hear your real self (and voice).”
“Paris Hilton’s documentary really humanizes her,” agreed a third admirer, adding: “It shows you a different and real side of her. Not the baby voice and glam side. The real side.”
“I love Paris’ normal voice. It’s time to be you. Ditch the baby voice,” said a fourth fan.
This comes after Paris opened up about being “tortured” at a boarding school for troubled children when she was a teenager.
Paris said she saw staff at Provo Canyon school “hitting and strangling” students during her nightmare stay, which only lasted 11 months.
The school, in Utah, is under new management and released a statement about the allegations of abuse in the 1990s.
It said: “Originally opened in 1971, Provo Canyon School was sold by its previous ownership in August 2000.
“We therefore cannot comment on the operations or patient experience prior to this time.”
