This Morning in chaos with string of technical blunders during Steps interview

This Morning suffered a series of technical blunders during their hotly anticipated interview with the incredible Steps.

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were chatting to Claire Richards, Lisa Scott-Lee, Lee Latchford- Evans, Faye Tozer and Ian ‘H’ Watkins all about their comeback album and upcoming What The Future Holds 2021 tour.

However, the audio cut out on several occasions, and H’s video cut out.

Luckily Holly and Phil dealt with the situation like true professionals, and when H’s camera worked again, they joked they needed to ask him a question “quickly”.

The group spoke about their brand new album and nationwide tour set to take place in 2021.

They revealed that they’ve collaborated with global star Sia, who is apparently a huge fan of them, and she worked with them and penned one of their new singles.

The band first teased their new music venture by each tweeting an illuminated letter.

When put together, each picture showed the letters spelling out Steps.

They then posted a snap altogether, confirming their album would be released at the end of November.

Steps captioned their post: “We couldn’t keep it a secret any longer!!

“Our new album What The Future Holds arrives on November 27th, and it’s available to pre-order from 8am tomorrow.

“We will never forget the past with Steps, it’s what made us, but we’ve got to look to the future too. We were so thrilled that the last album was a success and it gave us a new lease of life.

“Performing live has always been our favourite part of being in Steps – we had the most fun of our career on the last tour and we’re already planning for the next one to be our biggest spectacle yet.

“We’re also thrilled to have Sophie Ellis-Bextor as our special guest on the What The Future Holds 2021 Tour – her catalogue is full of floor-fillers and she knows how to get any party started.

“We are so excited for everyone to hear this new album and to come join us on tour.”

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
