I'm A Celeb 2020 line-up rumours uncovered as Katie Price tipped to return

I’m a Celebrity will soon set to be back on our screen again.

The 2020 series will be filmed in the UK for first time ever in the UK castle instead of the Australian jungle.

Because of the coronavirus pandemic, border restrictions meant it would be impossible to bring the celebs and their loved ones to Australia, where the series is usually filmed.

Both Ant McPartlin and Declan Donelley, who have presented the show for 20 years, will be returning as hosts for the 2020 series.

But who will be appearing in the show?

The speculation so far includes the usual Coronation Street stars, a Strictly Come Dancing hunk and legendary sports stars.

Katie Price has even been tipped to make a big return to the show.

Here, Daily Star Online takes a look at all the full list of guesses so far.

Katie Price

Will Katie Price return to the jungle?

It’s thought Katie Price could return to the show for an epic third time if the bookies are to be believed.

The former glamour model and mum-of-five has been tipped to make an appearance as ITV chiefs are reportedly rumoured to be bringing back “familiar faces”.

Her odds are at 4/1 to re-appear on the jungle show.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Whether it’s a cameo or a proper stint, we’re not ruling out a third I’m A Celeb appearance for reality TV veteran Katie Price.”

Keith Duffy

Former Boyzone star Keith Duffy is rumoured to be taking part in this year’s show.

He was asked by ITV bosses to take part in the 2020 line-up earlier this year, but was on tour with Brian McFadden, according to The Sun.

Due to coronavirus, Keith’s tour was pushed back, which meant he was contacted again.

A source said: “Keith has had Zoom meetings with I’m A Celebrity’s booker.

“Since the location moved from Australia to North Wales it’s been a little more tricky to get people on board but the team are confident they sold it well.”

Faye Brookes

Daily Star revealed former Coronation Street actress Faye Brookes could be set to star in the A-list line-up later this year.

I’m A Celeb bosses seem to be keen to sign Faye up after her split from singer Gareth Gates.

The insider explained to us: “I’m a Celeb will be a much bigger pay packet and better box office because fans will want to see her talk about her break-up from Gareth.”

However Faye has to choose between I’m A Celeb and BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, as show bosses are hoping to get her on the dancing competition.

Our insider added: “But she might go for the glitz and glamour of Strictly given her background in theatre.”

Kieran Hayler

Katie Price’s ex-husband Kieran Hayler seemingly confirmed he will be taking part in I’m A Celeb 2020.

The former stripper admitted “there have been talks” about him starring in the series.

It would be a dream come true for Kieran, who says he would “love” to be a part of the line-up.

He told New! magazine: “I’d love to go on I’m A Celeb. I think there have been talks but I don’t know for sure.

“I’d love to do it because I’m into the outdoors anyway so for me it would be really cool. I think it’s just the eating stuff I’d be a bit rubbish at – and it’s closer to home now I’ve heard!”

Andi Peters

Ben Shephard could be chowing down on kangaroo testicles before the year is out on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! if the bookies have got it right.

The Tipping Point host, 45, has had his odds cut from 5-1 to 2-1 to appear in the jungle this year.

One of his closest pals and longtime co-host Kate Garraway, 53, announced the news that Ben would be taking a break from GMB.

Speaking on the programme this week, she said: “This is Ben’s last day!

“You’re going having a bit of time off, aren’t you?”

Ben explained that he would be resuming filming the gameshow, which has been on hiatus since the beginning of lockdown and will be returning to GMB in September.

He shared: “We’re about to hit peak Tipping Point! Tipping Point series 11 and we’re all back in the studio, back socially distanced.

Maura Higgins

Irish star Maura could be participating

Love Island favourite Maura Higgins is predicted to join I’m A Celeb, according to bookmaker Coral.

The Irish reality star’s odds are at 1-2 for her to get down and dirty at this year’s new location in Wales.

Coral’s John Hill said: “Maura Higgins was one of the stars of Love Island last summer and this year she is unlikely to have the luxuries she was used to in the villa on the I’m A Celeb camp.

John added: “Maura has been installed as our early favourite to be crowned Queen of the Jungle as we expect her to go down very well on the show.”

Tamzin Outhwaite

Former EastEnders actress Tamzin Outhwaite is reportedly in talks with I’m A Celeb bosses.

However it’s claimed she is undecided, as BBC Strictly Come Dancing bosses are also eager to get her on board.

Katherine Jenkins

Opera singer Katherine Jenkins could be appearing in I’m A Celeb 2020, if the bookies’ odds are anything to go by.

The Welsh sweetheart could be competing as the new location is close to home, so she’s likely to be well up for the opportunity.

Her odds have been slashed and are currently at 3/1.

Jessica O’Reilly of Ladbrokes said: “ITV bosses will surely sign up a huge Welsh star for I’m A Celebrity this year and, after her stint The Masked Singer, punters reckon Katherine could be up for three weeks in a cold and spooky castle camp.”

Maya Jama

Rising star Maya Jama could be furthering her career by appearing on I’m A Celeb this year.

The stunning former Radio 1 DJ is rumoured to be joining the line-up at the castle.

She quit her job in radio earlier this year to pursue “exciting opportunities” so it could be a completely new path for her.

Bookmaker Coral announced Maya’s odds at 4-6 to be a contestant on the show.

Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead said: “We think Maya would be a massive coup for ITV if they could get her to be a contestant on I’m a Celeb, she’d be perfect for the show.

“The match made in heaven could well happen too and we make it odds on that she does enter the jungle.”

Vernon Kay

Tess Daly’s husband Vernon Kay has turned down I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in recent years.

But it appears the telly sensation might have changed his mind this time after reports of being offered £250,000.

He previously turned down the show due to wrong timing, but told fans he would “never say never” to competing in future.

He told The Radio Times: “The reason why that story came out, I think, is because I’ve been asked for the last two or three years to do I’m A Celebrity.

“I’ve always turned it down. I think my name must have still been in a notebook and it’s been floated around.

“We’ll see. Never say never. Like I say, I’ve been asked two or three times in the past and it’s not been the right time so I don’t know.”

Jeremy Clarkson

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? host Jeremy Clarkson is tipped at 2/1 to appear on the jungle show.

His odds are also at 10-1 to win the show, which is set in Wales this year.

Jeremy said he would stick it out for a staggering £100,000 in the bank.

He’s previously said on The Johnathan Ross Show: “We all say ‘no’ now because we’ve all got jobs.

“If you’re down the line and somebody said, ‘Here’s a hundred thousand pounds to go and eat some maggots,’ count me in! Yes, I’d go and do it…”

But with no work on at the moment, he might change his mind.

According to the Mirror, he had priced himself out of the show by demanding £1million.

AJ Pritchard

AJ Pritchard is reportedly in talks to sign on the dotted line for the reality show after he quit Strictly Come Dancing this year.

Reportedly keen to swap the sparkly outfits for the rough and tumble of the jungle, it was be a serious change of pace for AJ.

A source told The Sun: “AJ has a huge fanbase from Strictly, and he’s really grateful for the opportunity it afforded him but he is keen to show people that there is a lot more to gim.

“Bosses think he would be a great addition to the cast and it always helps to secure a heartthrob as it draws in much-needed younger viewers.”

His brother Curtis enjoyed success on reality show Love Island, too.

With his name back in everyone’s mouths, bookies Ladbrokes reckon there’s a huge chance he’ll be in the jungle, with odds of 3/1 to appear.

Spokesman Alex Apati said: “Major Ingram would be an A1 choice for the next series of I’m A Celeb and the odds suggest he could well be heading Down Under.”

Former footballer John Barnes has expressed interest in taking part in the adventurous show.

He had previously been linked to the 2019 series of I’m A Celeb, but never ended up appearing.

John told Radio Times: “I’ve done a few shows – I’ve been on Family Fortunes and The Brightest Family.

“I did Strictly Come Dancing 10 years ago, but Dancing on Ice with my age and the injuries I’ve had, I don’t think so.

“The jungle would be good!”

Lucy Fallon

The young actress was reportedly high on bosses’ wish list last year, but turned down the opportunity.

And despite regularly being rumoured for Strictly Come Dancing, it’s thought she’s set to fly to Australia for the jungle this year.

A source told The Sun : “Lucy is bubbly, funny, down-to-earth and game for a challenge, so she is a great fit for I’m A Celebrity.

“She had conversations last year about taking part but said, ‘Thanks, but no thanks.’

“This year, she told them she feels the timing is right.”

Daytime TV icon Richard Madeley has previously admitted he turned down the chance to appear on I’m A Celeb, but has recently had a change of heart.

And it wasn’t the thought of the creepy crawlies and basic rations putting him off, it was the fact he’d be away from home for so long.

He told the Radio Times in 2019: “It’s just it’s a month – it’s a good month out of your life.

“When I did The Circle I was only out of circulation for a total of seven or eight days. Like most people, I’m quite busy and I’ve got a lot going on.

“So if they ask me next year, I will think about it seriously, but I’d really have to have a look at my diary really and see how it would impact work. I would think carefully about it and if I could make room for it.”
