She heartbreakingly captioned the post: “My beautiful, kind, caring, generous, intelligent, funny, classy and incredible mum passed away this morning.

“There will never be another woman like my mum.

“She was the strongest woman I’ve ever known.

“She was my best friend and I don’t know how to do life without her..”

Jodie’s post was quickly flooded with messages of condolence and support.

Kristina had been battling cancer.

In May, Jodie told fans that her mother was “turfed out of hospital” because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Jodie tweeted: “My mum was basically turfed out of hospital and told “come back in 8 weeks” even though she has the most aggressive growing cancer her consultant had ever seen.”

“Thrown out of hospital because of Covid. No treatment. She’s dying at home. No word from hospital.”

She added: “Her cancer is so aggressive.

“We’ve been told what treatment she needs but hospital won’t see her til June. Sickening x.”

Begging for the public to seek help with cancer during the pandemic and not simply wait at home out of fear, Jodie posted on social media: “We cannot say it enough.

“THE NHS IS OPEN please do not sit at home with any cancer symptoms, get to speak to your doctor or visit A & E.

“The figures in cancer diagnosis are drastically down. Please remember lives are saved by early detection! Please RT.”

Jodie previously admitted her mum was “fading fast” due to her illness.

The Celebrity Big Brother babe reached out to Barry Manilow asking for a video message for her mother who is a big fan.

She wrote: “@barrymanilow hi there, it’s a big ask I know but my mum is fading fast with terminal cancer & she & I saw Barry live together in the UK at least 30 times over the years. She loves him.

“Is there any chance of getting a 10 second video from Barry for her to wish her well please?”
