Family Fortunes fans gobsmacked as player tells Gino she wants 'Italian in her'

ITV Family Fortunes viewers were in hysterics during Sunday night’s instalment of the game show, hosted by This Morning favourite Gino D’ACampo.

But the programme more closely resembled The Great British Bake Off than it did Family Fortunes, as there were racy innuendos from the outset.

Mel, who was the matriarch of the Lewis family from Merthyr Tydfil, made it very clear that she had a penchant for the hunky Italian host, 44.

The lively player, who her sons described as a “local celebrity” in their neighbourhood, left Gino blushing with her shameless flirting.

Gino asked Mel a bit about her lineage when the raunchiness ensued.

Mel flirted up a storm with Gino

He asked Mel: “Is it true you’re part Italian?”

Mel nodded and explained: “Yeah, my grandfather is Italian.”

Gino responded: “So, you’ve got a bit of Italian in you?”

Mel cheekily fired back: “Yes, and I’m hoping to have a bit more by the end of the night,” as she pointed at a taken aback Gino.

Mel was a shameless flirt on Family Fortunes

Viewers were beside themselves over Mel’s cheeky advances and took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

One social networker remarked: “What did she say about having Italian in her?

“This is pre watershed love.”

While another continued: “I’d like a bit of Italian in me,” followed by a string of laughing emojis.

A third added: “Mel wants some Italian in her.”

Viewers were gobsmacked over the cheeky flirtation

And the raunchiness didn’t stop there as one of the contestants ended up apologising to her dad ahead of answering one of the questions.

Kayleigh said “sorry” to her dad as she said “sex” in response to a question about what gift someone could give a partner.

Family Fortunes returns next Sunday at 8pm
