The Chase viewers gush over 'breathtaking' yummy mummy player who steals show

The Chase fans were driven wild by a “breathtaking” contestant called Ruth during Monday’s episode.

Four new contestants took on chaser Jenny Ryan to hopefully win a huge cash prize on the ITV show.

When it was yummy mummy Ruth’s turn to take on the chaser, viewers were distracted by the 29-year-old student’s beauty.

She explained to host Bradley Walsh that she studied crime intelligence and data analytics, and she stole the show after her impressive £6,000 cash-builder.

One gushed: “Ruth on the chase is absolutely breathtaking,” adding two heart-eyes emojis to their tweet.

While another penned: “Ruth is rather lovely.”

“Ruth’s a beauty!” added a third.

A fourth wrote: “Well that’s a refreshing change! A good contestant and a student at that! Well done Ruth £6k.”

Unfortunately, despite her impressive opening round, Ruth was caught by the chaser and didn’t make it through to the final chase.

Later in the show, viewers and host Bradley were aghast as a contestant made a controversial decision during her round.

During her cash-builder round, Kay made an impressive £7,000, but she then made controversial decision which cost her team thousands.

She took the low offer of -£2,000, saying it was because she wanted to be in the final chase against Jenny Ryan.

However, Bradley and viewers were confused as she had performed so well in her opening round.

Kay then did well in her round against chaser Jenny Ryan, making it back for the final chase, but costing the team £2k.

Viewers were furious, and some noticed Bradley seemed miffed too.

One said: “Love that Brad makes it very obvious he doesn’t approve when player take a minus offer.”

While another wrote: “Bradley’s well p****d off.”

Despite the hiccup, Kay performed well in the final chase and the team of three managed to win their £10k prize fund.

Jenny, who lost with just one question left, defended Kay’s choice as she added: “I needed one. Kay vindicated.”

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
