Wayne Bridge had not signed up to Dancing On Ice despite claims he 'pulled out'

Wayne Bridge was never a part of the Dancing On Ice 2021 line-up, despite reports claiming he pulled out days before training started.

Names for next year’s series have already started being announced, and Wayne had not been one of them yet – and he wasn’t going to be.

A source told Daily Star Online: “We’re quite baffled by this news because Wayne Bridge has never been part of the Dancing on Ice 2021 cast.

“He hasn’t signed up to the show so therefore it’s not possible for him to be pulling out of the show.”

A source had told The Sun: “Wayne had several meetings with bosses but suddenly he was no longer taking part.

“Dancing On Ice audition a lot of stars – sometimes people don’t get through if they’re not very good skaters but Wayne was really impressive.

“He was expected to sign the contract and then disappeared from the line-up, it’s all a bit of a mystery.”

So far, the confirmed names for the 2021 series are rapper Lady Leshurr, WAG Rebekah Vardy, ex Olympic skier Graham Bell, former athlete Colin Jackson, Capital Radio DJ Sonny Jay, ex Neighbours actor Jason Donovan, Coronation Street babe Faye Brooks, Emmerdale star Joe-Warren Plant, Celebrity Gogglebox star Denise Van Outen and musician Myleene Klass.

Other names rumoured include Corrie star Sally Dynevor, Happy Mondays’ Bez, Love Island hunk Luke Trotman, sports presenter Denise Lewis, Dr Alex George, TOWIE’s Billie Faiers, RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star Baga Chipz, Emmerdale’s Samantha Giles, Hollyoaks’ Carly Stenson, West End star Jodie Prenger and Benidorm actor Jake Canuso.

Wayne, who is married to The Saturdays singer Frankie Sandford, may not be joining Dancing On Ice, but he has been showing off his moves on TikTok.

Speaking of the fun videos, Frankie told The Sun: “At first, Wayne wasn’t really that fussed, but now he tries to decide all artistic directions.

“He enjoys dancing and he feels like he’s got the moves, so he’s in his element.”

Neither Wayne nor Frankie are strangers to reality television.

Wayne took part in I’m A Celebrity back in 2016, while Frankie was a runner-up on Strictly Come Dancing in 2014.
