Rita Ora slips into slinky leather and fur for first look at movie remake Twist

Rita Ora is well known for her seemingly never ending wardrobe and kooky fashion so it shouldn’t really come as a surprise that she’s added her own take to her role of The Artful Dodger.

Rita, 29, plays the pick-pocketing sidekick of Fagin in Sky Cinema’s modern day remake of Charles Dickens’ 1838 classic Oliver Twist.

Set in the modern day, the revamped film is slated to be released next year starring Sir Michael Caine, David Walliams and Jude Law’s son Rafferty as Oliver Twist himself.

Taking to Instagram, Rita shared the first full trailer of the Sky Original film which sees her take on the role – donning leather and yellow fur in the process.

Teasing her edgy style with the gritty East London swag, Rita’s version of Dodger is a far cry from Jack Wild’s version from the 1968 film.

Posting the clip to her 16million followers, the How To Be Lonely songstress wrote: “Been so looking forward to showing you all this!

“Here’s the first trailer for Twist, the modern take on Oliver Twist coming out on Sky soon!

“It was an honour to get the chance to work with not only one of my all time acting heroes Michael Caine but the best cast who were just a pleasure to work with!

“I’m starring as Dodge, can’t wait for you all to see!”

Away from acting, Rita is working on her third album.

Daily Star Online previously revealed she had held song writer sessions at the Cotswolds home she rented out during lockdown.

A source spilled: “Rita is a workaholic and even throughout lockdown she’s been working on new music.

“One of the tracks she’s recorded is called Glass and was written by Elton’s protégé Riley Biederer.

“She has more than enough music for her third album but wants to keep recording and writing tracks until she feels the time is right.”

After signing to Rocket, Riley went on to appear on season nine of The Voice USA where she bagged herself a “turn” form Pharrell.

Speaking to Daily Star Online at the start of lockdown, Rita admitted she is focusing on singles for now before dropping her third record.

Rita said: “I feel honestly that is how music is going.

“You put out the songs that you like and then wow, you have an album.

“I definitely have a lot of single options in the pipeline for sure.”
