Love Island and Made in Chelsea star Zara McDermott has poured her heart out in an emotional apology, confessing that she did cheat on Sam Thompson over a year ago.
The 23-year-old wanted to face speculation head on while she pleaded with her Made In Chelsea ex , 28, for forgiveness.
In the message that she had shared to her Instagram story, she honestly told her 1.4million followers that at the time of the scandal she was ‘hugely selfish and immature’.
Wanting to rectify her wrong doing, she decided to publicly come clean issuing her deep regret on the situation in hope that Sam may see she’s truly sorry for the “pain” and “hurt” she had caused him.

After keeping tight-lipped on the matter, she penned: “Hey Everyone, I just wanted to address the recent speculation in the media.
“A huge mistake I made a year ago has recently come to light and I want to face this head on.
“I don’t condone being unfaithful and I made a huge mistake at a time in my life where I was hugely selfish and immature.

“I believe I have learnt so much from my mistake.
“I want to apologise to Sam for everything I have put him through, for the pain, the embarrassment, the anger and the hurt.
“All I want to do is make this right and I think the least he deserves is me being honest with myself and all of you.
‘I love you Sam. Forever. x”
The couple who had been an item for 16 months, seemed to be going from strength-to-strength with speculation that Sam would pop the question soon after Zara joined him on the E4 show Made In Chelsea.

Since the break-up, Sam has asked for a date with TikTok star Charly Rosser.
The Made In Chelsea hunk was spotted flirting with the online sensation via the comments section on her TikTok account.
Commenting on her latest post, Sam, 27, used his verified profile to public write: “Dinner it is…”
Seeing the offer, Charly replied: “Message a time and a place on Insta.”
She signed off the post with her Instagram handle and a hands up emoji signalling she was keen to meet up.
