The ‘L.A.’s Finest’ actress reveals that producers told her she would be thrown off the set if she was spotted looking at Jennie Garth or any of her other co-stars during her appearance on the hit show.

AceShowbizJessica Alba wasn’t allowed to make eye contact with the “Beverly Hills, 90210” cast when she appeared on the hit show in 1998.

The actress played a pregnant teenager seeking help at the clinic where Jennie Garth‘s character, Kelly Taylor, was working on the series, and admits she had strict instructions to watch out where she glanced.

Producers told her she would be thrown off the set if she was spotted looking at Garth or her co-stars Jason Priestley, Ian Ziering, Brian Austin Green, Tori Spelling and Tiffani-Amber Thiessen.

“It was really strange when you’re, like, trying to do a scene with them,” Jessica said during a recent appearance on webseries “Hot Ones”. “It was like, ‘You’re not allowed to make eye contact with any one of the cast members or you’ll be thrown off the set.’ “

Alba explained the incident was the first of many that made her feel “demeaned” in Hollywood – and prompted her to take a break from acting and set up her The Honest Company lifestyle brand.

“The way women were treated in many circumstances, I was just over it,” she added. “I’d do a lot of press, the guys did nothing compared to what I was doing. I was like, ‘I’m done doing it this way.’ “

Alba isn’t the only one who shared a not-so pleasant experience on the show. Back in 2019, AnnaLynne McCord said that she was shaded by the cast. “That’s so funny. They were being a little shady toward me! And then I was a little shady back!” she revealed at the WildAid Gala: A Night in Africa.
