Archie Lyndhurst’s mum Lucy Smith has paid tribute to her “most wonderful unique” son after his tragic death.
The 19-year-old son of Only Fools and Horses star Nicholas Lyndhurst passed away after a short illness, it was confirmed on Thursday.
His mum Lucy Smith shared a tribute to her son, who was known for his role in the CBBC comedy So Awkward.
She wrote: “We shall love him forever and a day and are the luckiest parents to have had the most wonderful unique son who has brought us nothing but joy in our lives.”
Lucy paid tribute underneath comedian Jack Whitehall’s post remembering Archie, as the duo worked together a number of times.
She told Travels With My Father star Jack: “Thank you for all the amazing opportunities you put Archie’s way and the kindness and friendship you have always given him over the years.
“He loved every moment of every job and relished in the fantastic scripts you wrote.”
She went on: “But it went further than that like you said. He loved all of you dearly, as do we. And a lifelong friendship has ensued.”

“Then not wanting to take the false beard off after the Palladium as he wanted to look like you.”
Archie was found at his family home in Fulham, London last week under non-suspicious circumstances.
On September 22, police and an ambulance were called to a “report of a concern for welfare” and Archie was declared dead at the scene.
The tragic death is being treated as “unexplained but not suspicious”.
Police have passed a file to the West London coroner and an inquest is due to open next week.
