The Chase viewer went into meltdown on Twitter during Sunday’s episode of the ITV show one of the “worst players ever” got £0 in his cash-builder round.
Nerves got the better of Alan as he embarked on his first round, and the contestant didn’t answer any question asked by host Bradley Walsh correctly.
As a result, poor Alan wasn’t playing for any money as he went up against chaser Shaun Wallace.
Viewers slammed his performance, with one saying: “That was quite possibly the worst cash build up game on #TheChase there has ever been”.
While another wrote: “First time I’ve ever seen someone not get a single question right in the cash builder. #thechase”.

“One of the worst players ever? #TheChase”, penned a third.
A fourth added: “Long time since someone’s got £0 #TheChase.”
Sadly Alan didn’t make it into the final round against Shaun.
Lorna and Tim were made it through to the final chase, and the duo were hoping to win £8,000 between them.

They managed to gain a 15 step lead ahead of the chaser, but Shaun was just too good and he caught them with just 10 seconds to spare.
He caught the team despite them having six opportunities to push back, as they only executed one.
The Chase viewers were recently left gutted after comedian Joel Dommett lost out on the ITV show’s biggest ever single prize pot.

He was the only player to get through to the final chase of the celebrity version of the show, and he was playing for £150,000 for charity.
However, he failed to beat Chase Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan after only managing to rack up 11 tiles in the final chase.
The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
