This Morning’s Phillip Schofield got a mention on The Chase on Tuesday but the television presenter ended up costing the team £9,000.
During the intense final chase, host Bradley Walsh fired a series of questions to the team of contestants.
After a steady start, things took a turn for the worst as the host asked a question about ITV star Phillip.
Brad asked the team: “Gordon the Gopher first appeared with which TV presenter?”
Contestant Akhil quickly buzzed in and answered “Richard Schofield”, but the answer was, of course, Phillip Schofield.
Viewers at home were left scratching their heads at the major mistake during the vital round.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “Richard Schofield?”
Another added: “Who the fridge is Richard Schofield?”
“Richard Schofield? No I think you’re confused,” a third posted.
While a fourth joked: “I like Richard Schofield but he’s not as good as Philip Madeley.”

Bradley couldn’t help but make a dig at Akhil’s error at the end of the show.
The TV star said: “If you know the difference between Phillip and Richard Schofield then come and play.”
Anne “The Governess” Hegerty was in the hot seat trying to prevent the hopefuls from going home with the cash prize.
The first contestant to take on the tough quiz was Akhil, who managed to make it home safe and dry and put £4,000 into the prize fund.
Relationship expert Fran was the second player to take on The Governess and managed get through to the third and final round and put £6,000 in the kitty.
Contestant number three Malcom was caught by The Governess despite earning a whopping £8,000 in his cash builder round.
Student Eleanor, 21, was the last person to take on The Chase and managed to get through to the final chase.
Instead of increasing the prize fund, Eleanor opted to take the minus £1,000 offer, which saw the grand total drop to £9,000.
The team scored 17 in the final chase but it wasn’t enough to beat The Governess, leaving the three contestants to go home empty-handed.
Gordon the Gopher, also known as Gordon T. Gopher, is an English puppet gopher who first appeared on Children’s BBC between 1983 and 1987, listed on television shows by Phillip Schofield on the interstitial or in-vision continuity programme The Broom Cupboard
The Chase airs weekdays on ITV at 5pm
