The Chase viewers were not happy with host Bradley Walsh on Thursday.
The television presenter, 60, welcomed four new contestants to the show today (October 8) for the fourth episode of the week.
He was eager to see them get through to the final with some money in-hand.
Jenny “The Vixen” Ryan was in the hot seat trying to prevent the hopefuls from going home with the cash prize.
Eve, Pin, Amanda and Dave all took it in turns to take on the cash builder and later went head-to-head with The Vixen in an intense round of general knowledge questions.
Pin was the only contestant who failed to make it through to the final Chase, leaving it down to Eve, Amanda, and Dave to take on quiz champion Jenny.
During the nail-biting final round, Bradley refused to accept an answer in response to a question regarding Danish supermodel and former Victoria’s Secret Angel Helena Christensen.
The host asked Jenny: “Which Danish supermodel was born on Christmas Day 1968?”
The Bolton brainiac didn’t know the answer and passed the question over the to team.
After a quick chat, the players answered: “Helena Christiansen” instead of Helena Christensen, and Bradley said he couldn’t accept their answer.
Viewers at home rushed to their keyboards to slam Bradley’s “unfair” judgement.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “Oh come on. That Helena Christensen question was massively pedantic.”
Another added: “Give them Helena Christensen Bradley you cheat”
A third moaned: “Helena Christensen, surely that had to be allowed. It was just a case of pronunciation!”
“That Helena Christensen judgement was harsh!” a fourth ranted.
A fifth wrote: “Bradley trying to justify not giving them the Helena Christensen answer at the end by saying they would have needed a full house to win.”
Contestant Dave also caught the attention of viewers this afternoon as he revealed that he worked as a jet pilot.
One fan posted: “Jet pilot. Oooh glamorous.”
A second added: “A jet pilot? Pull the other one mate.”
A third ITV viewer joked: “Not just a pilot. A jet pilot.”
Dave correctly answered seven questions in his cash builder round earning an impressive £7,000.
Despite being offered a higher and lower amount by The Vixen ahead of the head-to-head round, the contestant decided to keep his £7,000.
After a round of general knowledge questions, Dave made it through to the third and final round without being caught by The Vixen.
Contestant number two Amanda made it home safe and dry with £5,000, giving the prize fund a boost to £12,000.
Pin was up next and decided to go for the high offer and played against The Vixen for a whopping £45,000.
His risky decision didn’t pay off as he was caught and ended up going home empty-handed.
Eve was the final contestant to take on the quiz and made it through to the final chase with £2,000, making the team’s total prize fund £14,000.
The team scored 15 in the final chase but it wasn’t enough to beat The Vixen.
The Chase airs weekdays on ITV at 5pm
