Lily James, 31, and Dominic West, 50, were reportedly photographed getting close to one another during a trip to Rome on Sunday.
The acting duo are working together on a romantic comedy adaptation of novel The Pursuit of Love for the BBC.
Newly single Lily recently split from her The Crown boyfriend Matt Smith, 37, after they failed to get their on-off five-year romance back on track.
In the photos, published by MailOnline, Dominic can be seen with his arms around Lily as they rode a scooter, both wearing face masks.
They could also be seen close, with Dominic leaning into Lily’s neck as they dined outside at a restaurant.

Daily Star Online has contacted reps for Lily and Dominic for comment.
Last Thursday, it was announced that Lily and her now ex-boyfriend Matt had split for good.
A source told The Sun: “They have gone back and forth this year trying to sort things out between them because they both have so much love for each other.

“But unfortunately it just isn’t working and they have mutually decided to just close this chapter of their lives.”
The former couple have not spoken publicly about their split.
Lily is best known for her roles in Downton Abbey and the live-action Cinderella remake, while Dominic has starred in the likes of Chicago, 300 and the BBC miniseries Les Miserables.
